About the exhibitor

Since its establishment in 1963, Yamachiku has been dedicated to crafting bamboo chopsticks. Over the years, many Japanese bamboo products have been replaced by plastic or cheaper bamboo imports. Yamachiku seeks to reverse this trend by continuing to produce chopsticks from quality bamboo cultivated and harvested in their region.

Bamboo is a sustainable and renewable material in Japan, deeply embedded in the country's cultural heritage through its use in daily products. By exclusively using bamboo, Yamachiku preserves and passes down the tradition and craftsmanship of bamboo product-making to future generations.

Yamachiku's chopsticks showcase how high-quality craftsmanship truly elevates the dining experience.

About the products

Thoughtfully designed, sustainable chopsticks for everyday use crafted from hand-cut bamboo in Kumamoto, Japan. From forestry practices to the final packaging, Yamachiku entrusts skilled artisans to transform locally harvested bamboo into lightweight, flexible, and colourful tableware.
