THE WINNERS OF MONO MAKERS PROGRAM 2024 ARE...

We are excited to announce the winning duos of this year's MONO MAKERS PROGRAM: The first duo is Dutch artist Sigrid Calon with Shohei Kubo from Japanese pigment foil manufacturer KANMAKI!

The second price goes to Dutch textile and surface designer Laura Luchtman from Kukka, and Tsuyoshi Kato from kiten.kyoto!

After careful consideration of all the wonderful submissions, they have been selected as the exceptional duos whose collaborations will be featured in this year's program while receiving our hands-on support. Their projects embody the perfect blend of Dutch and Japanese craft culture, promising innovative and creative products that reflect their distinct visions and talents.

The MONO MAKERS PROGRAM, initiated last year, aims to unite creators and makers from the Netherlands and Japan to create unique pieces that showcase the rich creativity of both cultures. The collaborations will explore the intersection of their craft traditions and bring to life a product that exemplifies their shared dedication to craftsmanship and innovation.
