Since 2016, Amsterdam has been our home. The annual MONO JAPAN fair was held in the Lloyd Hotel until 2019, moving on to Loods6 in 2022. It’s sad to leave Amsterdam after all these years of great memories.

At the same time, we are excited to host our event in the new environment.

MONO JAPAN Fair started at the Lloyd Hotel, and we wanted to go back to having our event again in a hotel, and luckily, we found two beautiful boutique hotels in Rotterdam, Hotel âme and Supernova Hotel.

And between these hotels, there is the Nieuwe Instituut. We will collaborate with them for the cultural programme.

Our new locations

We are thrilled to announce that the MONO JAPAN Fair will take place in Rotterdam at two boutique hotels in 2024. For three days, from September 13th to 15th, the beautiful hotel rooms will transform into exhibition spaces showcasing a curated selection of Japanese products.

  • Hotel âme

Hotel âme is designed with passion for the conscious and modern traveller, housed in a monumental building from 1867 with a beautiful architectural soul. By keeping most of the old elements, they created a place where past and present gracefully meet. Inspired by Japanese and Scandinavian aesthetics - with natural materials and colours, bespoke furniture and attention to detail.

  • Supernova Hotel

Inspired by the 175 nationalities living in Rotterdam, the crackling sound of vinyl, Gallagher Brothers, exotic Toko’s, and entertainment bars from the previous century. Supernova Hotel offers 38 different rooms, a shop, and an intimate bar serving bites and drinks. Housed in an early 1900s building, it is located on the border of the city centre.

Nieuwe Instituut

as our partner for creating together the cultural programme of MONO JAPAN 2024

Our cultural programme has been programmed by Stichting MONO JAPAN since 2022. Together with Nieuwe Instituut, we will make the exciting programme. The details will be announced soon. Stay tuned!
