Collaboration with Bonne Suits

Bonne Suits x MONO JAPAN collaboration suits

The vision with which MONO JAPAN was conceived was always to enable cultural and creative exchange. Over the last couple of years we have managed to build a platform where people could meet each other, exchange thoughts, and start creating. With that in mind, the theme of MONO JAPAN 2018 was COLLABORATION.

The creative connections between people from opposite corners of the world can result in wonderful new ideas, skills, products and values.

MONO JAPAN collaborated with Amsterdam’s popular fashion label Bonne Suits. Using four different types of fabrics, they made these eye-catching couture suits that were shown at a fashion show during the opening of MONO JAPAN 2018, and could be seen throughout the duration of the event.

This summer you have a chance to see these special suits once again in real life. From June 28th onward, the suits in collaboration with Takarajima Senkou, Takumi Kougei, and Yamma Sangyo x Harappa will be put on display at the 'Streetwear & identiteit' exhibition at Amsterdam Museum.

Collaboration suits with Hakata ori

Collaboration suits with Sebastian Masuda

Collaboration suits made with the fabric of Sebastian Masuda's brand '6% DOKIDOKI' (Tokyo). This collaboration was made possible through the friendship between Bonne Reijn and Sebastian Masuda, who met in Amsterdam in 2017.

Collaboration suits with Takarajimasenkou

Collaboration suits that were made using the indigo and sumi (Japanese ink) dyed fabrics of TAKARAJIMA SENKOU (Fukuoka), who also exhibited during MONO JAPAN 2016 and 2017. You can see these suits at the summer exhibition 'Streetwear & identiteit' at Amsterdam Museum from June 28th onwards.
